The browser imposes a limit on the number of simultaneous connections that can be made to a single server. In Firefox this defaults to 6, but can be changed using the bltadwin.ru-persistent-connections-per-server preference. If all connections are in use, the browser can't download more resources until a connection is released. DNS resolution.  · HTML is the World Wide Web's core markup language. Originally, HTML was primarily designed as a language for semantically describing scientific documents. Its general design, however, has enabled it to be adapted, over the subsequent years, to describe a number of other types of documents and even applications. Audience.  · The second reason was because time is a consideration. Writing a PHP file handler to force the content disposition in the header() will also take less time than an API, but still longer than Nick's approach. If you know how to turn on an Apache mod and edit bltadwin.rus you can get this in about 10 minutes. It requires Linux hosting (not Windows).

With inline, the browser will try to open the file within the browser. For example, if you have a PDF file and Firefox/Adobe Reader, an inline disposition will open the PDF within Firefox, whereas attachment will force it to download. Content-disposition support in Opera Opera supports the Content-Disposition header since at least version 6. Opera also have had security problems related to the header, but as in the case with Firefox it works. Content-disposition support in Chrome Generally works; Older versions had issues with filenames having special characters like space. If the HTTP header Content-Disposition: gives a different filename than this attribute, the HTTP header takes priority over this attribute. If Content-Disposition: is set to inline, Firefox prioritizes Content-Disposition, like the filename case, while Chrome prioritizes the download attribute.

Firefox don't download files with the right name example: 'bltadwin.ru3' is downloaded as 'song' If I rename the file adding the extension it opens. But that's annoying and I really do not want to have to do this with every file. Tried recreating user profile, deleting 'bltadwin.ru'. Note: Chrome, and Firefox 82 and later, prioritize the HTML element's download attribute over the Content-Disposition inline parameter (for same-origin URLs).Earlier Firefox versions prioritize the header and will display the content inline. If this attribute is present and Content-Disposition: is set to inline, Firefox gives priority to Content-Disposition, like for the filename case, while Chrome gives priority to the download attribute. This attribute is only honored for links to resources with the same-origin. It's not from the same-origin, therefore it won't work.
